What is a Speaker?
The primary defining characteristic of a speaker is one who speaks.
Toddlers speak, children speak, even those pesky adolescents speak so i guess all those who are over the age of two can be called speakers can't they?
A successful speaker is one who delivers an eloquent speech that is well received, remembered and transmitted far and wide. Two year olds do have their moments, but transmitted far and wide, does screaming count? No, probably takes someone with a command of the language to be a successful speaker.
Today's technology allows many to become speakers instantly. Creating a YouTube video can be done in the home, planted on-line, and transmitted all over the world.
But what does a speaker speak about?
The topics are endless and the choices for viewers are endless as well. In this little world, called Humanitysquared a simple message of peace and prosperity for all, transmitted by many different kinds of individuals, repeating the same message over and over could be the answer we need to reduce the belief that war and poverty are inevitable.
Propagandists always use simple talking points to get their message across. They repeat the message over and over until it becomes embedded in the popular psyche. Most who have been recipients of propaganda don't stop to consider where the idea came from they just repeat it on cue.
Most of us here in the Western Hemisphere are blind to the results of our actions upon other nations. We fail to comprehend the bad that comes with the good we think we are spreading. We block out all our ill effects upon others and concentrate on tangible good. Unfortunately, the tangible good isn't always enough and the bad we have created can outweigh the good with blowback for us.
Some have called 9/11 blowback.
i am aware that many American citizens can't accept the idea that any of our actions overseas could be considered a reason for anyone to do such a heinous act. Keeping the blinders on does not make a peaceful world.
To change that mind set local speakers can be developed to broadcast the news that most of us function outside of our governments. We have no real say or power over what a few choose to do to the rest of us. We have no real control over our military or the leaders that find it necessary to send our boys off to war.
We are brainwashed to believe that one man one vote solves everything and gives us power, but does it? What happens to the desires of those that lost the contest? Have they lost completely and are now required to stand aside while everything they desired is put on the back burner?
To watch while the other side tears apart everything they believe in. This goes both ways with both sides equally looking on in horror while the other side rules.
Sometimes i think the old tribal groups had it right. It wasn't one man one vote, it was leadership through consensus. When issues arose amongst the tribe, communal events were scheduled to clear the air and try to bring everyone on board. Sometimes there was no action until everyone had their say. The issues were hashed and rehashed until the chief had finally convinced the whole tribe that whatever action he wanted to take was a good one.
We don't talk about the issues. Someone has brainwashed the populace into believing that talking about politics or religion in groups is a no, no. Do you think it could be so reason can't play a role.
So, getting back to the topic of speaker.....i believe speakers are necessary to level the playing field. To bring to the spotlight both sides of the issues in a non-emotional safe environment in order to advance peace and prosperity for all.
To start this moving i'm looking for speakers all over the world to showcase here.
Bill Gates delivered a very passionate speech at the Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland January 28, 2008.

i see this type of media being more and more relevant in our daily lives. Acceptance of this media, which is subject to wide dispersal and the video expertise of the creators, is a function of accessibility. As we become more interconnected
Speakers that branch out all over the world can and will resemble a virus that won't stop until the job is done. i hope this makes you so ill all you will want to do is get healthy by listening to the Speakers i hope to find.
Please send recommendations for Speakers.
