Milford Track, New Zealand...Day 4

So day four arrives and we are all recuperated from the stress on the thighs. We decide to get an early start and are out on the trail before the sun is completely up. The trail is relatively flat but we have to make the boat and we plan to stay at Lake Ada before spending any time at Sandfly Point.

So then we get to Arthur River says the sign next to Art. A really beautiful river.

We stopped a lot on this day just to enjoy the vistas.
And crossed a lot of swing bridges.
We had lunch at the top of this part of the trail, it was cool and had great views.
Back in the fern trees...i just loved them.

 Yep that's the trail.

Stopped here at a shelter and the clarity of the water was unreal.
Plus the outhouses are placed like this so helicopters can lift them out and change them. Those Kiwi's really know how to service the trails. Also there are just too many beautiful waterfalls to show here.

Somebody left these on the trail a long, long time ago.

Finally we have reached the Milford Sound...going from Lake Te Anau to the Milford Sound fiord. The boat trip to the end of the line there was even more spectacular.

And then it was over...if you ever get a chance to walk the Milford Track...don't pass it up.
