Hey Everybody wake up...there is only a few months to go until the next election and even if you want to withdraw and ignore what is happening in our country and around the world the results of your withdrawal will come back and bite you. It will be too late to say i should have been more involved.

Today, not tomorrow is the time to honor our shared identity and purpose as a nation. The fact that Democrats believe in shared sacrifice, responsibility,  good character, fairness, love of country and equality for all must be repeated. Repeat the fact that we are in this nation together and unless you move to another country you can't remove yourself from that fact.

It really is time to talk. Don't remain silent. It is important to address the issues that affect this country and discuss them with your conservative friends and relatives. Reinforce the fact that Democrats believe in protection for all. We don't believe its every man for himself. We believe no one can do it all on their own and good government helps all of us accomplish our goals.

So in keeping it simple lets think about a few things we can support and talk about.

Obamacare... it protects all of us against activities by insurance companies that prevent us from getting the care we need.

Jobs...only demand creates jobs. The middle class and the working poor are the primary consumers and the ones that create demand. Without their power to purchase we would not have an economy. If they don't have jobs our economy churns to a halt. Remember “Only Demand Creates Jobs,” and we support creating more demand.

Profit makers put their money in Switzerland, Bermuda, the Caymans, they put their factories in China, Vietnam, and South Korea. Profit makers purchase their politicians to write laws for them not all of us.

Freedom...what is it if it doesn't include immigrants, blacks, whites, purples, women and gays? We support freedom and equality for all.

Government..WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT. If you don't have government you are at the mercy of corporations and the wealthy. Ask Republicans why they want to slit our wrists and destroy the entity that works for all of us?

Profitization of government services is a Republican goal...turning everything we all own into profit making vehicles for a few is something we don't support, talk about it and tell them why we don't support tearing down government. Government works for all of us, not just a few.

Remember government workers pay taxes and do jobs corporations won't do. What we want is Good Government.

We are falling behind because we can't compete with countries overseas that subsidize healthcare, education and technology. Good government can help us compete.

And finally remember We all do better when we all do better.
